The 9th annual Bicycles Battling Cancer ride will take place on Sunday June 11, 2017 and Broadleaf’s President, Ty Cornwall, will be there on his bike supporting this effort.

The 9th annual Bicycles Battling Cancer ride will take place on Sunday June 11th at the Hillside School in Marlborough, MA. This one-day, fully-supported ride consists of 30, 70, and 100 mile scenic loop routes through central Massachusetts. All routes are fully supported with SAG wagons and fully stocked rest stops including drinks, snacks, first aid support and volunteer bike mechanics. Riders can select their choice of a distance, and each person is required to raise a minimum of $300. The 70 & 100 mile rides depart at 7:30am while the 30 mile ride departs at 11am.There will be a post-ride celebration including great food, beer and entertainment upon the return to Hillside School. Participants, family, friends and cancer survivors are invited to celebrate at the finish line to recognize and celebrate the riders’ efforts to fight back against cancer!

Funds raised through the American Cancer Society Bicycles Battling Cancer event support the American Cancer Society’s fight to end cancer. Specifically, these dollars are used to make a difference in the following ways:

  • Helping people take steps to reduce their risk of cancer or find it early when it is most treatable
  • Investing in research to find, prevent, treat, and cure the disease
  • Providing free information and services to help people facing cancer today – when and where they need it – including transportation, lodging, wigs, support programs, and more.

The number one reason people donate to American Cancer Society events is because someone asked them to. If you would like to donate to the Broadleaf team’s efforts, please click here to go to the American Cancer Society donation page
